There aren’t too many places you can go out and buy Tenkara flies. There’s a few websites online but for the most part you’re stuck tying your own. For a lot of folks this is fine, but I know not everyone has the time to tie them or enjoys tying. So here’s one more place to buy some flies.
I’ll be selling the iconic Tenkara fly called the sakasa kebari, some different midges, the balloon caddis, and some other flies that I’ve either come up with or seen but don’t know their names. When I’m fishing I don’t care what the name of the fly is anyway, I care if it catches fish. If you want a specific pattern tied feel free to email me about it.
The main sakasa Kebari I’ll be selling are going to be on a size 10 and 12 hooks, black, grey, or white thread, and black/white or dark grey/light grey hackle. From time to time I’ll have other sakasa Kebari for sale that will be tied using a other materials such as; wire wrap, double hackle, eyeless hooks, dubbing, horse tail, and other random materials. These flies will be sold for $2.50 per fly.

Midges I’ll be selling include zebra midges in black with copper rib and with or without peacock dubbing behind the bead. I’ll also be selling a midge I think I came up with (haven’t seen it before). It’s a bead head midge with gold wire underbody and olive midge tubing on top of that. It will be called the Olive Tube Midge. I’ve had pretty good luck with it on both sunny days and slightly cloudy days. These flies will be $2.25 each and will be available in sizes 10 down to 22.

The Utah Killer Bug is a pretty famous fly these days. Everyone has their own way of tying it though, I tie mine in either pink or yellow thread with no rib and sometimes I’ll add a bead head. Whether you want yellow, pink, bead head, or no bead head, size 10, or size 12, it’ll cost you $2.00 per fly.

A fly that I absolutely love is a streamer I saw a picture of. It has a cone head, a long zonker strip tail, and a white body. This fly has just incredible movement in the water which is why it’s such a good producer. I tie this fly, which I’m going to call the Zonker Streamer, on size 6 hooks and I’ll sell them for $2.75 each.

Micro flies! I’ll sell my size 26 and 30 micro Sakasa Kebari for $3.00 or an eyeless size 26 Sakasa Kebari for $3.25.

I apologize for not having any pictures up. I’ll keep trying to get some but my camera is a piece of junk. The macro mode on it is absolutely awful!
